Questions about learning Igbo with IgboLearn?
Find quick answers about how IgboLearn works, who it’s for, and how to fit Igbo into everyday life for you and your family.
Getting started
IgboLearn is for anyone who wants to speak or reconnect with Igbo – complete beginners, kids, Nigerians abroad, heritage speakers who understand more than they can say, and parents who want their children to grow up with the language.
No. You can start from zero Igbo. Our beginner paths start with sounds, greetings, and very common words. You’ll see tone marks, hear native audio, and practise with short puzzles so nothing feels too heavy.
Most learners spend 10–15 minutes a day. Consistency matters more than long lessons. A quick lesson, one puzzle, or a word of the day is enough to keep your Igbo moving forward.
Kids & families
Yes – many older kids can use IgboLearn independently, especially for puzzles and word of the day. For younger children, we recommend using the app together so you can guide them, repeat words out loud, and connect lessons to daily life.
Absolutely. IgboLearn is designed with diaspora families in mind. Short lessons, games, and stories make it easier to weave Igbo into English‑speaking homes. Many parents use the app so children can greet their grandparents and family confidently in Igbo.
Pricing & access
IgboLearn has a free tier with access to selected lessons, puzzles, and dictionary features. You can explore the app at no cost and then choose a paid plan if you want full lesson paths, advanced puzzles, and AI features.
Paid plans unlock full lesson paths, more puzzles and practice modes, deeper dictionary and example content, and access to IgboLearn GPT tools for translations, explanations, and conversation practice.
